Carrianne Leung

Emerging Voice 2010

Carrianne K.Y. Leung is an emerging writer, finishing her first novel entitled The Marvelous and Real Times of Miramar Woo. Her literary work has appeared in Prairie Fire, The Writing Space Journal, People’s Poetry Letter, and Fireweed. Leung also has a Ph.D. in Sociology and Equity Studies from OISE/University of Toronto. Born in Hong Kong, and raised in Scarborough, she currently lives with her partner, their toddler and two dogs in a row house in the west-end of Toronto. When not writing or chasing after her son, she is busy at work at her organic grocery store.
