Daniel David Moses

Playwright, poet, essayist, and teacher, Daniel David Moses is a Delaware from the Six Nations lands in southern Ontario, Canada. He holds an Honours B.A. in General Fine Arts from York University and an M. F. A. in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia. His plays include his first, Coyote City, a nominee for the 1991 Governor General's Literary Award for Drama, his most studied, Almighty Voice and His Wife, and Kyotopolis. He is also the author of Sixteen Jesuses, poems, and co-editor of Oxford University Press' An Anthology of Canadian Native Literature in English, scheduled to appear in a 4th, 20th Anniversary Edition in 2012.

His most recent publications are a new edition of Almighty Voice and His Wife, River Range, a CD of a suite of poems with music by David Deleary, and, as editor, The Exile Book of Native Canadian Fiction and Drama, an anthology. His honours include a James Buller Memorial Award (for the play The Indian Medicine Shows), the Harbourfront Festival Prize and a Chalmers Fellowship. He teaches playwriting in the Department of Drama at Queen’s University as an Associate Professor.
