David Storch

David Storch is a director, a teacher, and an actor. He is a former Artistic Director of the Canadian Stage Company, and was an Artistic Associate at the Vancouver Playhouse in the 1990s. Recent work as an actor includes: Frost/Nixon (Vancouver Playhouse/Canadian Stage), Travesties, Mary Stuart, King Lear, The Importance of Being Earnest, Translations, Winter’s Tale (soulpepper), What Lies Before Us (Crow’s Theatre), Measure for Measure, Servant of Two Masters, Tartuffe, Hamlet, W;t (Citadel Theatre), Habeas Corpus, Amadeus, Take Me Out (Canadian Stage). Recent work as a director includes: Palace of the End, Misery, A Number, Omnium Gatherum, Take Me Out, Sunday Father (Canadian Stage), I’m So Munsch (George Brown Theatre School), “Art” (Arts Club Theatre), Angels in America, Part 2: Perestroika (National Theatre School), Playboy of the Western World (Dalhousie University), The Goat, or Who is Sylvia, Blue/Orange, Einstein’s Gift, The Beauty Queen of Leenane (Citadel Theatre). His production of Glengarry Glen Ross is currently playing at Soulpepper, and he is in rehearsal for Doubt at Canadian Stage. Storch is a graduate of the National Theatre School.
