Leah Jane Esau

Emerging Voice 2008

Leah Jane was born in Winnipeg and now resides in Montreal. She is in her first year at the National Theatre School of Canada, in playwriting. She studied theatre and reactive writing at the University of Victoria, and went on to do her MA in Drama at the University of Toronto, and her MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Guelph. She has had the opportunity to be mentored by Lawrence Hill as part of the Diaspora Dialogues mentorship program. She has also been mentored by Russell Smith, Judith Thompson and Michael Winter as part of her MFA in Creative Writing.
