Nawa Nicole Simon

Nawa Nicole Simon attended Humber College’s Theatre Performance Program where she developed her acting ability. She performed in a Summerworks ensemble piece The Whole Dip with her graduating class (Theatre 12), played the lead in Angelique (Hart House), Osa in Darkness and the Butterfly (Little Red Theatre), and the lead in Once A Flame at Factory Theatre (C Theatre Works). Recently she performed with the cast of UMOJA - The spirit of togetherness for their closing night performance. Soon after leaving school Simon began dancing with Groupe des Arts Bassan, performing at the Francophonix Festival (Harbourfront), the Mississauga International Children's Festival, La Nouvelle Scene (Ottawa) and toured extensively throughout the Greater Toronto Area. She has also danced for Oshawa Fiesta Week, Sofi Fran in Welland, the International Fracophonie in Quebec City and the Toronto African Dance Festival 2008. Moving to film, Simon has had the pleasure to work with Humber College (Stilwell Project) and John Croft (Vente). In the new year she will play the lead in Come Tumbling Down (Theatre In the Red).
