Born Stuart Leigh Pierre in Vancouver, Canada in 1976. He spent his childhood studying the athletic pursuits of soccer, boxing and martial arts. A gifted athlete, Stuart discovered his love of the physical arts extended naturally into theatre by the time he was 21. By 2002 he had graduated from the highly acclaimed Studio 58 Professional Theater Training Programand a life long love of acting was born. Stuart quickly won the coveted Jessie Richardson Award in 2004for his role in The Vancouver Playhouse’s Equus and immediately turned his ambition towards film and television. He has since been featured in Carl Bessai’s Unnatural and Accidental(CBC), Milan Cheylou’s Dead Like Me (Showtime, MGM), Chris Haddock’s Intelligence and Da Vinci’s Inquest(CBC) and John Lecoyer’s The Guard. In 2009, Stuart won Best Supporting Actor at the North American Indigenous Image Award in Albuquerque, New Mexico for his performance in Rob King’s Redemption. Recently relocated from his home town of Vancouver to the metropolis of Toronto, Stuart Pierre is working alongside Big Soul Production’s Laura Milliken and looking forward to the challenges ahead as one of Canada’s best kept secrets.
