Anita Majumdar is an acting graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada and holds a degree in English, Theatre & South Asian Languages from the University of British Columbia. She’s trained in Kathak, Bharat Natyam and Odissi over the last 10 years and was recently Dora-nominated for Outstanding Choreography for her self-written one-woman comedy Fish Eyes. Theatre credits include: Bloom (Modern Times Stage Theatre, by Guillermo Verdecchia), Bombay Black (Cahoots Theatre, by Anosh Irani), and Tales from Ovid (Centaur Theatre/Collective). Film credits include: the CBC production Murder Unveiled for which she received the Best Actress award at the Asian Festival of First Films in Singapore.
