Chris is a generalist who writes at the intersection of everything. If she could find a way to use Star Trek to comment on matters of ethnicity, LGBTQ+, contemporary art and 90s R&B, she would. Chris began her career as a music journalist, cutting her teeth at free Toronto daily Dose Magazine. She writes magical realist fiction and recently completed her first novel. Originally from Scarborough, Chris moved to Toronto in the mid-2000s. (If you’re from Scarborough, you understand why she stubbornly maintains the distinction.) She works as an online news writer for NOW Magazine.
