Joe Flaherty was born and raised in Pittsburgh. His career began at Second City in Chicago and Toronto. He is, however, best known for his work on SCTV, which earned him two Emmy Awards for writing. His countless feature film roles include appearances on The Wrong Guy, Back to the Future 2, Who’s Harry Crumb? and many others. His television credits include, among others, the critically-acclaimed Freaks and Geeks, Ellen, Married with Children, and the highly-acclaimed Maniac Mansion in which he starred. Most recently, he made guest appearances on The King of Queens, That 70’s Show, Frasier, and Royal Canadian Air Farce. Flaherty is currently a professor at the School of Creative and Performing Arts at Humber College in their Comedy Program.
