Judith Thompson, playwright, director, actor, screenwriter, and teacher, is the author of fifteen plays and two feature films as well as numerous radio plays. She is an Officer of the Order of Canada, and has won the Governor General’s Award for drama twice, as well as the Toronto Arts Award, the Nellie, a Dora, The Susan Smith Blackburn Award for the best play in English by a woman in the world, and the Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award. She is a Professor of Theatre Studies at the University of Guelph and lives with her husband, five children, two dogs, and three cats in Toronto.
