Moira MacDougall’s artistic life began as a serious student of classical ballet and modern dance. Her poetry weds her love of movement and rhythm with voice and linguistic performance. She has had her work published in Canada and the US including the Dalhousie Review, Grain Magazine, A Room of One’s Own, Wind Magazine, The Antigonish Review, Canadian Literature, CV2, Tickle Ace and Kalliope. Her studies include undergraduate degrees in English, Humanities and Psychology; and an M.A. in Adult Education/Counselling. Her first book of poetry, Bone Dream, will be published in the fall of 2009 by Tightrope Press. She is currently the Poetry Editor of the Literary Review of Canada and makes her home in “the Beach” in Toronto, Ontario.
