Elpida Morfetas
WRITER/MENTEE
Elpida Morfetas is a writer and teacher who was born in Athens, Greece and raised in Toronto. She has taught at various high schools and colleges in Toronto and in Greece. Her writing has also appeared in Our Grandmothers, Ourselves, an anthology of stories by Canadian women about the lives of their immigrant grandmothers. She currently teaches English and women’s history at Seneca College. Her latest project, Beyond the Page: An Anthology for Reading, Writing and Thinking, is a work about reading and reflecting on various works of fiction and non-fiction by Canadian and international writers. It is soon to be released by Oxford University Press.
