Irving Ellman

WRITER/MENTEE
Since graduating from the University of Manitoba, Irving Ellman has enjoyed a long career in interior design. He worked initially with Theatre Projects in London’s West End before moving to Toronto where his projects have received both provincial and national awards. He is a past president of ARIDO and was named a Fellow Member in 2007.
The ingenious gift of a writing workshop from his wife Peggy helped turn his life-long interest in writing into a primary focus. His first published story appeared as part of the Canadian Writer’s Journal Choice Works collection. He has taken pleasure in participating in a number of reading events in the GTA and is currently completing a collection of interconnected short stories from which “The Poet’s Voice” is drawn.
