Meet Lauren Rollit

Hey there! I’m Lauren Rollit and literature is my passion. I love reading and writing, and I am fascinated by the ability to craft stories and poems through the medium of text.

However, despite even the strongest love, the writing experience can be tough. Sometimes, you can feel as though all the words that pour out of you deserve to be thrown back into space, orbiting around some far-off planet that humanity should never discover. Your plotting can be painful and unpleasant, your storyline dilemmas irrefutably broken.

Don’t worry, however, if your writing fervour has evaporated in the heat. You’ve got colleagues out there in the same position as you, and hopefully, they’ve brought tea, smiles, advice, and a shoulder to cry on. You will be able to sit back down and overcome even the toughest of writer’s block eventually.

On this blog, I hope to post semi-regularly about the joys and challenges of being a young writer, so feel free to join me! It is a pleasure to be able to write for Diaspora Dialogues and share some of my techniques and experiences in order to aid you in your own writing journeys. I’m certainly no professional, but I hope to help in the best way that I can.
