Margaret Christakos
WRITER/MENTOR
Her undergraduate focus was in the Visual Arts (B.F.A. York University, 1980–1985). In 1995 she completed an M.A. in Education at OISE, University of Toronto.
Margaret has held appointments as Writer in Residence at the University of Windsor, Western University, London Public Library, and the University of Alberta. She is associate faculty with the MFA program in creative writing at University of Guelph-Humber and, since 1992, has taught widely as a sessional, most recently at Ryerson University. In 2018–2019, she was Barker Fairley Distinguished Visitor at University College, University of Toronto. In Fall 2021, she will be Writer in Residence with Green College, UBC. She has three adult children and lives in Toronto.
