Dianne Scott
WRITER/MENTEE
Dianne Scott lives in Toronto with her husband and two children. Her literary writing have been published in numerous Canadian literary magazines such as The New Quarterly, the Windsor Review and Taddle Creek.
Dianne’s non-fiction has been featured on CBC Radio, canadianliving.com, The Globe and Mail and the Toronto Star. She is the winner of the Writers Union of Canada Postcard competition and was short-listed for the K.M. Hunter Artists Award (Literature). She is the winner of the Arthur Ellis Award for best unpublished crime fiction.
Dianne is a graduate of The Humber School for Writers and the Diaspora Dialogues short and long mentorship programs.
She has taught elementary, secondary and college students, with a focus on literacy skills. As well as a teacher’s degree, she holds a Masters Degree in English.
Dianne is a Short Form 2008 and Long Form 2016 mentee. She worked with Anar Ali and Marina Endicott.
