Nermeen Mouftah

Nermeen was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario. Her poetry, short fiction, and photography has appeared in a number of publications. More recently, her writing has taken the form of scholarship. She is an anthropologist of religion who does ethnographic research on Muslim social welfare in the Middle East and North America. She is an assistant professor of religion at Butler University, in Indianapolis, IN.
