Shaista Latif

Shaista Latif is a multidisciplinary artist. She is a director, facilitator, writer, dramaturge and storyteller. Her first play Graceful Rebellions was developed in the Young Creators Unit at Buddies. Graceful Rebellions premiered at the 2013 Rhubarb Festival and was also presented at the Halifax Queer Acts Festival the same year. Most recently, Latif assistant directed The Wanderers (Cahoots Theatre Company) and is currently working as a co-facilitator for PrideCab, an LGBT youth program at Buddies. Shaista has trained extensively in New York City with established storytellers and writers. She is a Second City Conservatory graduate and a 2012 Canadian Comedy Award nominee.
