A dozen students at Father John Redmond have been meeting with professional writers for the past month to develop writing skills. Diaspora Dialogues partners with Lakeshore Arts and the Assembly Hall to present an evening of readings and performances of the work developed through the workshops.

Diaspora Dialogues is thrilled to partner once again with Toronto Public Library, the busiest public library system in North America, on Keep Toronto Reading, a month long celebration of the joy of reading. Last year we packed the Palmerston Theatre Library with our signature interdisciplinary, intercultural mix of literary readings, spoken word performance and theatre and we aim to do the same again this year.

Singkil, a new play by Catherine Hernandez opens at Factory Studio Theatre. Catherine has been one of our Diaspora Dialogues writers over the past year, working on a fiction piece called Saint Candice, which is part of her four-part Scarborough Stories that also includes Singkil.
