Allyson Blood lives and works in Toronto and is a mother of one. She studied the Wild Mind writing method with Natalie Goldberg in Taos, New Mexico and returned home with four other Toronto women to form a writer’s group. Through the support of this group, Blood has amassed a rich base of short story ideas by following the philosophy of writing whatever comes to mind without editing along the way. Although Blood has travelled, observed life and written about what she has seen since she was a child, this is her first professional foray into writing and she is excited to be a part of this year’s Diaspora Dialogues.
