Carmen Pintea

Carmen Pintea arrived in Canada in 2007, from her native Romania, to do an MFA in Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. After completing her degree she moved to Montreal, where she has lived for almost a decade now, working intermittently as a dishwasher, janitor, apprentice baker and substitute teacher for French schoolboards. She is currently putting together a manuscript for a poetry collection. Some of her poems have recently appeared in Event, The Maynard and Grain.
