Carolyn Nakagawa
WRITER/MENTEE
Carolyn Nakagawa is a poet and playwright based on the west coast, a multigenerational Japanese-Anglo Canadian settler on unceded traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, and Kwikwetlem peoples. She received an honorable mention in CV2’s 2020 Young Buck Poetry Prize and was a finalist in the Malahat Review’s 2017 Open Season Awards. Her work has also been published in magazines such as Poetry is Dead and Canthius.
Carolyn is a 2021 National Long Form mentee and worked with Doyali Islam.
