D. Jolly
WRITER/MENTEE
D. Jolly is an emerging creative writer and uninvited settler living on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishnaabe, and Haudenosaunee peoples. Her writing is laced with the comedic and challenging push-pull tension of growing up with dual Canadian and South Asian identities and explores themes of grief and the transcendent. She has cultivated her storytelling abilities through Simon Fraser University’s Writer’s Studio and a Residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. Her writing has appeared in Bolo! Bolo! A Collection of Writings by Second Generation South Asians Living in North America and other Canadian literary magazines. She is currently working on her first novel.
