Jennie Jungyeon Heo

Jungyeon Jennie Heo was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1986. Her family immigrated to Canada in 1998, when she was twelve years old. She grew up in Waterloo, and moved to Toronto in 2004 to study English Literature at the University of Toronto. In 2010, she received her B.A in English, with a special interest in Victorian Poetry and Children’s Literature. Jennie works as a bilingual professional, ambassador, and promoter for major Korean events in Toronto. As an ambassador, her goal is to promote Korean culture, arts, and tradition to a broader audience in Toronto. Jennie is an aspiring writer whose work focuses on the migrant experience.
