Joanne Pak

Joanne Pak studied film at Ryerson and the Canadian Film Centre. Her short film Beacons in the Night was presented at the Montreal World Film Festival and Sprockets: Toronto International Film Festival for Kids. After working as a Production Manager, Studio Manager and Director’s Assistant, she focused her attention to screenwriting and story editing. Her projects have been supported by Telefilm’s Development Incubator and Telefilm’s Spark Plug Program, and The Good Life was a semifinalist in the AMPAS Nicholl and Austin screenplay competitions. Joanne teaches Screenwriting at Weengushk Film Institute, and she is currently an editor at Canwest where she also served as Union VP. Joanne is represented by Aurora Artists.
