Joanne Szilagyi

Joanne Szilagyi is a fiction writer and a graduate student in the field of creative writing at the University of Oxford. She has attended residencies at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, and she was designated an honourary member of PEN Canada in 2018.

Jo works at the Centre for Diaspora and Transnational Studies at the University of Toronto. She is currently writing her first novel, generously funded by the Canada Council for the Arts.

Joanna is a Short Form National 2018 mentee and worked with Sabrina Ramnanan.
