Višnja Milidragović
WRITER/MENTEE
Višnja Milidragović is a wanderer at heart (even when her body is in stillness). Born in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia (current-day Bosnia and Herzegovina), she now finds home on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations (Vancouver, BC). Her work investigates belonging, both visceral and spiritual, through the prisms of place, names, and identity. Her creative nonfiction was shortlisted in 2023 for The Malahat Review contest and in 2021 for The CNFC/The Humber Literary Review contest. She is currently working to complete her first book-length memoir. She is a graduate of SFU’s The Writer’s Studio and Master’s in Publishing program and a BA in English Literature from UBC. She currently lives with her partner Jason and two cats, Rupert and Renfrew.
