Yaya Yao

Yaya Yao (she/her) is a writer, teacher, and PhD researcher born and raised in Tkaronto’s Parkdale, Little Portugal, and Chinatown west. Her poetry has appeared in journals including CV2, Fireweed, the Toronto Review of Books and TOK 7. She is the author of a collection of poetry, Flesh, Tongue, and the lead writer of the Equity Educators Companion Guide. She lives with her family in Fukuoka, Japan.
