Canada’s Got Soul: Aspiring Canadian Poets Contest
Don’t stop your pens! Well, stop your writing for just a moment to read that you have a chance to be on the elusive winding-road to becoming a published writer. And getting paid along the way doesn’t hurt. The Aspiring Canadian Poets Contest was started to help the unpublished poets of Canada gain some exposure. Not only will the top three place winners get their work published on the contest website, but will also be published in the November issue of Quill & Quire, Canada’s magazine of book news and reviews, AND will also have online mentoring sessions with the contest judge. This is an opportunity that not only supports your love of writing, but wants you to grow even further. It’s very rare for me to see such grand offers from writing contests.
General information: One entry per person; one poem per entry; applicant must be a resident of Canada; applicant must be at least 19 years old
Deadline: Between April 1, 2013 to June 1, 2013
