Denise has published fiction in a variety of literary journals, including Prairie Fire, The New Quarterly, Pagitica, McGill Street and White Wall Review, as well as in SightLines 8 Anthology (Prentice Hall Canada), a Grade eight language arts anthology used in schools across Canada. She attended the Banff Centre’s Wired Writing Studio in 2001. Her first play, This Life, premiered at SummerWorks Theatre Festival in Toronto in 2002. She participated in Diaspora Dialogues' mentoring program in 2006; her story “Caribana” was published in TOK 2 (2007). She’s currently working on a collection of interlinked short stories that includes “Caribana.” A freelance magazine editor who works with Style at Home magazine, and writer who has published in the Globe and Mail, Denise lives in Toronto.
