Eleni was born in Cyprus and immigrated to Canada with her parents and brother at the age of six. She has always been fascinated with culture, and studied anthropology and international development at the University of Toronto. She also holds an MSc in Extension Education from the University of Guelph. She has taught English, worked in a group home for people with developmental disabilities, and as a policy advisor for the Ontario government in aboriginal affairs, energy conservation and human rights. Expect to see more of Eleni’s stories in her areas of interest, which include ethnic conflict and conflict resolution, peace building, multiculturalism and the immigrant experience.
