Ghadeer Malek is a Palestinian feminist activist, aspiring writer and spoken word poet. She graduated from University of Toronto with a degree in Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations and History. Soon after that, she started working at the Association of Women’s Rights in Development for the Young Feminist Activism Program. She is passionate about working with youth and especially young women on combating gender-based violence in all forms and across all contexts. She is also co-founder of AQSAZine, an arts collective of progressive and critical young Muslim women addressing violence against women in Toronto.
