Born in Hastings County, Hannah Brown raised her children in the leafy Beach neighborhood where she currently lives. She has two degrees in film from York University and wrote screenplays for anyone who'd pay, including the NFB, which awarded first prize to her screenplay How to Call Cows. After happily teaching English and Film at the college and collegiate levels, she has recently returned to writing full-time. Hannah Brown's work has appeared in several publications, including (parenthetical) magazine which chose her short story "The Happiness" for its 2016 Journey prize entry. September 2019 is the release date from Inanna Publications for Hannah Brown's debut novel, Look After Her.
