J.M. Moore is a third-year PhD candidate in English Literature at Queen’s University with interests in American hard-boiled fiction and object relations theory. She is also editor-in-chief of The Lamp, an international literary journal devoted to publishing the work of graduate and professional students. Her article, “What is ‘Literary’ Writing?,” was published in the Writers’ Community of Durham Region’s Word Weaver, and she is currently working on several novels-in-progress, including Dead Men, a literary novel about grief, and The Cricket Bottle, a YA murder mystery set in a fictional town that is actually a real Ontario ghost town.
