Mia Herrera's short stories, feature articles, and reviews have appeared in various online and print publications including CGMagazineLive in LimboHart House Review, and TOK: Writing the New Toronto, Book 7. She is a recipient of the Youth Scholarship Award from the Tatamagouche Centre and Writers' Trust Fund Scholarship. Mia was a participant in Diaspora Dialogues' short-form mentorship program in 2011 and long-form mentorship program in 2013. Mia's debut novel Shade was released May 2016 by Inanna Publications. She is currently the Ontario Regional Representative for The Writers' Union of Canada.
