Pay No Mind

Too many times
We are hurt
By the words
Of others.

Constantly being
Criticized by
People who don’t
Know who we truly
Are.

Being judged by
What people see
On the
Outside.

Making rude remarks
While we walk by
Them.

Judging before they
Get to see whom
We are on the
Inside.

We can’t avoid
This from
Happening.

But we shouldn’t
Let it affect us
As long as we
Know that
Deep inside, we aren’t
Doing anything wrong.

Remind yourselves that
There are people who
Took the time to
See who we really are.

There are people who
Love us and don’t
Judge us by
What they
See.
