Denise Da Costa is a freelance writer, poet and emerging novelist whose work has been published in ProudFlesh: New Afrikan Journal of Culture, Politics and Consciousness, The Toronto Star and the most recently the Coach House Books publication, Subdivided: City Building in an Age of Hyper Diversity (June 2016). She writes about the universal human condition and believes in silver linings in a world of greys.  She is currently working on her first novel.
