Katie Sly is a Toronto-based theatre creator. She studied writing for the stage and screen at George Brown College, and was a member of Tarragon Theatre's 2010/2011 Young Playwrights Unit. Her third play, Boca, was performed at Tarragon's 2011 One-Act Play festival, and she wrote and directed the short play The Way It Should Be at Art Wank at the 2011 Toronto Fringe Festival. Katie is beginning work on a new ten-minute piece to be performed at the 2012 InspiraTO Festival as part of InspiraTO’s Playwrights’ Mentoring Project. Her work often focuses on love, sex, abuse, violence, and the places where those things meet.
