Open Call for Cymatics Artists: Nuit Blanche 2019

DD is looking for visual or multimedia artists able to work in cymatic art to take part in Diaspora Dialogues’ 2019 Nuit Blanche event “Remixing the Night”. 

In 2018, DD partnered with Orpheus Choir of Toronto to adapt four poems into choral music. “Remixing The Night” is a sound and visual installation that continues this process of adaptation through sound artists who will recreate the choral compositions into contemporary music and through a visual representation of the sound, which is where you come in!

We are looking for artists who can visually represent the four choral compositions specifically through cymatic art. If this piques your interest, we would love to hear from you.

Please submit a paragraph telling us a bit about yourself, your experience as an artist and why you’d be a good fit for our event. If you have any support material to go along with your submission, please send them along as well.

Deadline for submissions is May 16th 2019.
